I just ordered one, any known issues other than being really awesome and fast (I already know about those :-) )?

I've seen some headlines about gray screen or blue screening, but also saw that ATI had released updated drivers that seemed to correct the problem. That's all I've heard - get the latest drives (as I'm sure you always do anyway) and you should be good to go.
Let us know how it runs for you. Are you thinking of going with a second one in CF at some point? What size monitor resolution do you play at and on what games? I only ask because purchase decision are based on all types of personal criteria - just interested in why you chose that card in particular (other than it being totally awesome and fast... as previously stated).
Have fun man! [oh yeah - and I'm not jealous at all]

Yeah, I had read about the brown screen/gray screen issues. I will update eveeything of course, but I didn't know if anyone else had taken the plunge and had already been through these issues.
My current motherboard doesn't support CF or SLI (I am kicking myself for saving the miniscule amount of money now), but when I upgrade my cpu/mb/ram I will go that route. I currently play at 1920x1200, and my 8800GT hasn't been able to do that comfortably. From all the benchmarks I have seen, a single 5850 should be more than enough for that res even with ample AA in Crysis. I saw someone playing the bad company 2 beta with full settings on a geforce gtx 285 (which is not as fast) and it was smooth as can be.

Like I said - I'm not jealous at all.... :'(
Because I'm on an extremely tight budget, I'm thinking of jumping on this deal
http://tinyurl.com/y867ym9
. I've read all the reviews, but think it's still worth trying. If all fails I can return it right? That sys should be able to run most games very nicely on my current 1680x1050 monitor don't you think? My longer term would be to set up crossfire 5850's (unless Nvidia has a better DX11 value up their sleeve).

Just an FYI to anyone interested, my 5850 came with an odd technical issue. When used on my p35 motherboard (gap35-dsl to be exact) I can no longer overclock at all. It is extremely strange, if I replace the video card with my 8800gt it is fine . It should not be a power issue as I have a pretty new and somewhat over the op Corsair 750 powersupply. I suspect it is some sort of incompatibility with my motherboard. As I am now extremely CPU limited, I ordered a AMD phenom ii x4 and motherboard.

FYI - I'm strongly considering ordering a 5850 and returning my 5770. Since my LGA 1156 (P55) mobo is less than ideal for crossfire/sli, I'm thinking I'd be better off with a stronger single card - especially since I'd like the option to go 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 without having to turn down the gfx options on BFBC2 or any other new game I might by.
Any other thoughts? I have about 2 more weeks to make a final decision before I'm locked into the 5770.

Well, having played BF BC2, I can tell you that you are going to want a stronger card. That is one beautiful game if you turn up the settings.

Actually I've been running BC2 at max settings (even cranked all the advanced settings) on my 5770 and it's running smooth as silk at 1680x1050, but I'm sure that will change when I go to 1920x1080 or 1920x1200. If money was not an object, I'd be going with two Dell U2710's with a 5970... alas, money is an object. I about ready to pull the trigger and order the 5850 and a NEC 23" (

). It's the best bang for the buck IPS monitor to date that I can find (and trust me, I've been looking far and wide). If you have any other ideas, do tell! : )

Well my bro decided he does need a new gfx card, but doesn't game much - sooo, my 5770 is being purchased by him and I bought a Sapphire 5850 last night on Newegg for $279 US. It may go lower once the 470 and 480 start flowing at retail, but it will be plenty good for me right now and I can alway Crossfire another one later.
Zod have you had any Gray Screen issues with your card? I have Catalyst 10.2 installed right now - should I be aware of anything special I need to do to prevent the GSOD? (I know ATI is aware of the problem, but according to them there's no guarantee the 10.3 version will fix it).

I have had zero gray screen problems at this point. Everything is awesome so far. Loving it.
