After initially being interested in the original Mass Effect, I never got around to playing it until this last week two years after release. I got it for $5 during the Steam Holiday Sale and I haven't been able to put it down since. I finished it yesterday after about 20 hours in game and I'm absolutely hooked.

I've pre ordered Mass Effect 2 already despite the fact that for the longest time I've stayed as far away from RPGs as possible.  The good thing is that most RPGs are fantasy based and I'm less interested in those than I am in sci fi. That I've already paid full price for this gime is a testament to how much I loved this experience.
