Xfire sounds like the easiest way.  Is BFBC2 on Steam?

BTW - I finally bit the bullet yesterday and put together a new system - it's System Builder Month at Microcenter:

Case - Cooler Master HAF 922 = $89.99
CPU - Intel i5-750 = $179.99
Cooler - Thermaltake Silent 1156 = $23.99
Mobo - Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 = $119.99
Memory - 4GB OCZ Gold DDR3-1600 = $79.99
Video Card - Visiontek Radeon HD 5770 1 GB DDR5 = $169.99
Hard Drive - 1 TB WD Caviar Black 32 MB Cache = $99.99
PSU - OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W = $95.99
O/S - Windows 7 Prem 64 bit = $109.99
   Total    $969.91

I'm planning to get a new 24-27" 1920 x 1200 monitor soon (right now using my crappy 1680 x 1050 Gateway 22").  Hopefully this build will allow me to play the new games at 1920 x 1200 with decent gfx settings.  I will be watching prices on the 5770 and probably grab a second card for SLI sometime this year if the games seem to demand it.

Back on topic - I'll be getting BFBC2 ASAP and joining in the fun with you peeps.  So some have dropped their pre-orders, some haven't - Is there a reason I should pre-order it?

Haha Fat, that was the exact build I was considering, but I went with Phenom II X4 965 BE + Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4 + 4 GB DDR3 1600 Corsair ram to go with my Radeon 4850.  That and Microcenter had the "Buy a Phenom get $30 off a mobo" deal too.

Preordering the Limited Edition from Gamestop gets you a bunch of stuff unlocked earlier (Some vehicle gadgets, AK-74, tracer pistol).

Alright. White Castle has given me more details on their server. They currently rent from a company named Branzone that handles their TF2 servers and offers Bad company 2 servers.  He really wants the server filled and running well because it costs his clan out of pocket so if they can't get people on it, it likely won't last long.

He's going so far as to give some of us admin privileges so that we can work to keep it full and have a consistent moderating presence.  The better the server runs and the more people like it, the better the chance some will make donations to keep it running.

I don't know how many people he will ask me to nominate as there will certainly be members of the clan who will be there to run it.  Let me know if you think you're up for it and I'll let you guys know what we choose to do.

I don't nominate Fat cuz he has fat fingers and might end up hitting two buttons on accident and take down the whole server.   Tongue

luv ya fat  Grin

Any idea how many servers they'll be running, and what game types/modes, Apoc?

this is good news. A good place for us to play together again. I for one will most likely only play mw2 very sparingly after tomorrow!

Ok. He's just purchased a 32 slot server. At least 12 Legion members already have the game and there are more non-members likely to get it.  If you guys have people on your xfire or steam friends lists who are planning on getting the game and don't have a server, once I post the IP let them know. Loudly.

Oh, right, what about TS/Vent?  I assume we'd want to be on their vent to talk to their admins, and vice versa, no?
