Wow Raven. How is that GTX 280 so cheap? Because I'm saving up money for a more important purpose, I won't be doing much more than getting ram and probably switching to a quad core.  My 8800 GTX is a little dated but it will still be reliable for some time to come.  And because I refuse to touch Vista or pay full price for Windows 7, I'm still running XP so I don't get DX10 or 11.  I figure I can skip the GTX 260 and 280 and just go for the biggest thing that Nvidia pumps out in their next cycle.  If anyone has information on an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 for cheap post it here. I've seen one for $320 but I'd like to look for a better deal.

Let me help you with that: Really cheap RAM, I'm a frequent buyer!

WTF?! How can you download more ram?

Don't leave the Duo... Just overclock it...

My next purchase: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125200

That's a helluva card for the money Raven.  I didn't know 280's were still around, since the 275, 285 and 295 have been out for so long.  Weird!

fattuesday,

as far as I know, the 280s still out there are just back stock, no new ones are being produced.  I am surprised the stubborn retailers kept the price high so long after better and cheaper models were out.

i dont think 280's are in stock anymore at all since the 285 came out which is bascially a revision of the 280.

if they sold out i doubt they will bring more in
