This game should be a great placeholder until then. DICE is also doing the multiplayer for EA's modern Medal of Honor game in addition to this and BF3.

Anyone else preorder this off of steam? You get a week of early access to the beta from the 28th to the 5th.  I'm going to have to upgrade my computer earlier than I expected to meet the recommended specs.

I guess there is no beta access for in store pickup, or delivered orders...I need to cancel my order tomorrow and order through Steam I guess.......

....I'm pretty hyped for Thursday. : )

Only thing that sucks is that they're not releasing the server files for the beta...

And I believe I heard somewhere that there is NOT going to be a console to pull down. So I'm guessing admin'ing must be done through an out of game app. I only hope they put it with the game once it's released.

I hate listen servers.

I love dedicated servers, server consoles are FTW. = )

Hopefully it will be like BF2 and you will be able to launch the DS from the Windows command line with the option -console, or something similar....I'm looking forward to it!

you must not of pre-ordered from gamestop 1 of the main sponser's....mine will be delivered and I will have access to the beta on thursday...and I cant wait......

I've heard that there won't be server files released at all since you will have to rent a pre-configured server from DICE.

I canceled my in-store pickup.

Going to be playing the beta on Thursday (will buy through Steam), and looking forward to setting up a community server or two or three....
